New Addition to the Block Value Set

During the recent maintenance downtime, I took some time to put together a dream block value set. Last night, we went back to ZA, cleared the place in a couple hours, and I picked up the first new piece of the set.

Although my Bulwark of the Amani Empire hasn’t dropped yet, I did manage to pick up a Battleworn Tuskguard off Malacrass. The thing is hideous looking (you can see for yourself), but those are some sweet stats.

This is the first helm I’ve seen that is legitimately an upgrade over my trusty Tankatronic Goggles. This is likely the best head piece I’ll see in a long time, since the T5 helm is a sidegrade and the earliest upgrades drop off of Illidan and Archimonde.

Since this helmet will probably last me a long time (possible until WotLK), I caved in and socketed it with three epic gems - Solid Empyrean Sapphire, Shifting Shadowsong Amethyst, and Enduring Seaspray Emerald.

As an added bonus, this pushes me well over the 102.4% avoidance goal with Blessing of Kings and Mark of the Wild, so I’m free to pick up the Libram of Divine Purpose tonight after I’ve gathered 20 Badges. Mmm, threat.
