Tree Killing Report - Loot from Talonsworn Forest-Rager

Have you been killing Talonsworn Forest-Ragers? If you’re an herbalist, you should be. Check out my article on herbalism farming for some details.

In short, those Level 72 Elite Mobs are awesome for farming if you’re an herbalist. They give you a ton of herbs, and I wanted to post here a sample of what I got in a 30 minute farming session so that you can know what to expect.

I went down to Skettis, grabbed my daily bombing run quest, and threw up an Ice Armor for a timer. The plan was to do the daily quests and loot as many trees as possible in 30 minutes. I also picked any Dreaming Glory or Mana Thistle that I saw, which turned out to be two Dreaming Glory nodes today.

After the 30 minutes was up, I had managed to complete both Skettis daily quests, kill 13 Talonsworn Forest-Ragers, and loot two Dreaming Glory Nodes. If I hadn’t been spending time on the bombing run or the escort, I could have killed 15 to 20 Forest-Ragers in that time, but that’s about the limit allowed by the respawn rate.

As for loot, this is what I came up with…

• 4.5 Primal Lifes (45 Motes of Life)
• 37 x Dreaming Glory
• 13 x Felweed
• 14 x Mana Thistle
• 6 x Ancient Lichen
• 10 x Terocone
• 1 x Black Lotus

For a half hour, that’s a pretty good amount of loot. The monetary value of it all will vary from server to server, but here are the low to medium average sale values of the items on Earthen Ring at the moment.

• Primal Life - 10g per
• Dreaming Glory, Felweed - 15g per stack (75s per)
• Mana Thistle, Ancient Lichen, Terocone - 25g per stack (1.25g per)
• Black Lotus - 18g per

So, with these approximate values, the total gold value of this loot is…

• 4.5 Primal Life = 45 gold
• 50 Dreaming Glory and Felweed = 37.5g
• 30 Mana Thistle, Terocone, and Ancient Lichen = 37.5g
• 1 Black Lotus = 18g
• Total = 138g

Due to the whims of the Auction House, I may have to sell some of these items at slightly lower values. With some discounting, this would still be worth at least 100g for 30 minutes of farming. I don’t know where you’re going to find something more profitable than that. Start picking herbs.
