Making Gold in World of Warcraft

In WoW, gold makes the world go round. In the early levels, you need a small amount of gold to train, to buy some new gear, and to buy a mount at level 40. Once you reach level 70, you will find yourself spending an exorbitant amount of gold on enchants, armor kits, gems, gear, etc… and maybe even an epic flying mount.

If you find yourself always out of gold, follow my advice to bring yourself out of virtual debt. I was one of the first people in my guild to buy an epic flying mount, and I generally have at least 2,000 gold sitting around in my bank. I definitely know how to make gold in WoW.

Here’s a quick overview of some of the most important tips.

• Spend your money wisely. Don’t waste a ton buying gear at low levels - you’ll outgrow it quickly. Utilize quest gear and instance gear, and save your money for more important things.
• Choose two gathering professions while you level. Crafting professions will cost you money, not make you money. The only time you actually have a real reason to craft items is to craft level 70 Bind on Pickup Epics. So until you are almost 70, gather herbs, ore, or leather and sell it all for pure profit.
• Once you hit level 70, do the quest chains to open up daily quests in Skettis and Ogri’la. These quests are quick and easy, and they will allow you to make 50g+ every day without the monotony of farming.
• Never farm materials to craft items to sell them. Always remember that Materials = Time = Money. If you can buy all of the materials on the auction house, craft an item, and sell it for profit then definitely do so. If, however, the item sells for less than you could purchase the materials, you are throwing away money. Just sell the materials themselves.
